The Hidden Inn is now home to the Manjushree Hermitage, a Buddhist meditation and retreat center

**Accommodations are geared toward meditation retreats and Buddhist events. If interest in booking the facilities for Buddhist events, please contact us.**

In January 2014, we purchased the Hidden Inn in order to establish a retreat center, The Manjushree Hermitage.  We are no longer opperating the traditional Hidden Inn Motel & Cabins hospitality business.  We enjoyed a season of renting rooms as the Hidden Inn and sharing this unique setting that provides for relaxation and an enjoyable time in Northern Indiana’s Harbor Country area.

As a retreat center, we believe in creating an atmosphere and surroundings rich with nature and tranquility, such that they reflect what we find to be appealing and believe others will appreciate, too. To support and promote the retreat atmosphere, we have a Buddhist meditation hall and a mini library of Buddhist texts and DVD's.  Wi-fi is available.  All electricity is sourced from green energy wind farms, we use non-toxic products when possible, and we are in the process of re-landscaping the property to support native species. We hope to provide you with a peaceful place to take refuge from the busy challenges of routine life.

The Manjushree Hermitage is nestled onto a three-acre property shaded by hundreds of tall oak trees and set back from highway 12. Staying here makes it possible to enjoy a relaxing time in beautiful surroundings while still being central to the appealing activities that the area has to offer. We are located just a short distance from beautiful lake Michigan beaches, the Ambler Flatwoods Nature Preserve, and Indiana Dunes National and State Parks.

The peaceful comfort of the retreat center is enhanced by the friendly service and attention that we are eager to provide. We offer quality and reliable service you can count on.  Whether you are looking for a meditation retreat for a night or multiple nights, we have comfortable guest rooms and a public meditation hall.  Our goal is to provide you with courteous and professional service that will help foster an environment for quality meditation and study.  All rooms are strictly non-smoking.  We love pets, but we are too small to dedicate rooms as pet friendly, so no pets are allowed.

Please visit manjushreefoundation.com or contact us for more information about programs, meditation times, and our teacher.

We look forward hearing from you.

James and Rosemarie
